Post if you voted!

Wed Nov 5, 2008, 2:22 PM
...or at least wish you could've. If you want, tell us who you (would've) voted for and why. My parents voted for McCain, but either candidate seemed fine to me.

If you are from outside the United States, you might know what I'm talking about anyway. Give us Americans a holler! :)

Here's to your presidency, Mr. Obama!

I voted for the first time! I voted for Barack Obama, on the basis that I agree with his Iraq War policies, as well as his support of diplomacy in lieu of straight invasion. I also really like his tax plan, as well as his ambition for the repair of social security. Finally, seeing as I'll be having to go to college soon, I support his ideas for making tuition more affordable.

Sounds like you did your homework. :) I, of course, am still too young to vote, but it is my second oldest sister's first election. I'm pretty sure she was going to vote for Obama. As for my other older sister, I have no idea who she planned to vote for.

Thanks! ^^ Since this election began, it seems I've been harboring a growing fascination with political systems. Of course I would never run for public office myself. O_o I'd much rather keep my interest in Governmental design as a hobby. Hopefully I'll be able to use this to a decent effect in writing the story of my OC, Jenny Decibel. (An important part of her story is a complex governing body designed to be incorruptible...and how it goes horribly wrong. :evillaugh:)

:evillaugh: Sounds like a good time!

Yeah, I could never run for office of any kind.
